Types of garage doors
The garage door is no doubt an essential and the most important part of a garage. Sectional garage doors

Up and Over Garage Doors
Just as the name implies, this type of garage doors first swing towards the driveway and then move up. In order to swing freely, up and down garage doors require lots of space both at the ground level and at the top level. As a result of this, they are only suitable for garages with long driveways and not short driveways. There are basically two types of up and over garage doors which are Retractable garage door, and Canopy garage door. A retractable garage door has horizontal tracks that extend back into the garage and this type of door is suitable for both electric and manual operation while Canopy garage door gives the maximum drive-through width when open and is the easiest to install. The canopy garage door is balanced and assisted by torsion springs which are positioned above the door panel on the head of the fixing frame and it is suitable only for manual operation.
Swing Hung Garage Doors
If you’re looking for a garage door with a traditional look, then swing hung garage door is the answer to your quest. These type of doors open like a normal door, and are hung in two parts on each side of the frame, opening left and right. They are available in steel or wood and can be operated either manually or automatically. Swing hung doors require space in front of the garage so as to be able to open the door easily. Hence, are not recommended for short or narrow driveways.
